The Winnipeg Jets (13-7-2) and Pittsburgh Penguins (9-8-5) meet at Bell MTS Place on Tuesday evening.
The Jets come into the game on the back of an impressive 8-4 win at the St. Louis Blues on Saturday evening, in which their Finnish star turn Patrik Laine hit five goals to maintain his recent excellent scoring form and race to the top of the NHL standings with 19 goals for the season now.
The Jets are averaging 3.36 Goals per Game to leave them tied 8th in the NHL standings at present. Defensively they have allowed 2.77 Goals per Game, which leaves them in 8th position there too. In addition to Laine’s 19 goals, Blake Wheeler has weighed in with 23 assists.

The Pittsburgh Penguins also had a win on Saturday evening, beating the Columbus Blue jackets 4-2 at the PPG Paints Arena, with their match-winner being three-goal Jake Guentzel.
For the Penguins, they are also averaging 3.36 Goals per Game to leave them tied 8th with the Jets in the NHL standings at present. Defensively they have allowed 3.14 Goals per Game, which puts them down in 21st position. On an individual basis, Guentzel has 11 goals to his name, while Evgeni Malkin has 21 assists.
With Laine having struck such great goalscoring form after a slow start to the season, our NHL predictions for this game have to favour the Jets with their home-ice advantage. As a result, the Money Line Odds of -150 with William Hill for the Jets to win is the tip here.
Pick: Money Line – Winnipeg Jets @ -150 (William Hill)
