Rose “Thug Rose” Namajunas (8-3) puts her Strawweight belt on the line against Jessica Andrade (19-6) in the co-main event at UFC 237 from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday night.

Namajunas won the Strawweight belt by beating Joanna Jedrzejczyk by first-round TKO (punches) in November 2017 at UFC 217. The pair fought again last April, with the 26-year-old from Wisconsin once again coming out the winner, although on this occasion it was by Unanimous Decision.

Jessica Andrade has also had a fight against Jedrzejczyk, although in her case it ended in defeat by Unanimous Decision at UFC 211 for the Strawweight title. Andrade has won three straight fights since losing to Jedrzejczyk, the last of which was by first-round knockout against Karolina Kowalkiewicz in September 2018.

The 27 year-old Andrade will be fighting in her Brazilian homeland, so will have the backing of the vast majority of the UFC fans and this will be the first time that Namajunas will be fighting professionally outside of the USA.

Rose Namajunas vs Jessica Andrade Betting Lines & Pick

In terms of our UFC 237 predictions for this fight, both these girls prefer to be up on their feet. Jessica Andrade is more of a power puncher though, whereas Rose Namajunas has more variety and precision in her fighting.

If it becomes a war in the octagon, Andrade has the advantage, but if the champion can keep it a technical and tactical fight, she should prevail given her greater reach and her kicks and jab.

Namajunas is the slight underdog at +110 with Betway Sports, while the line on Andrade is -125 with 888Sport.

Pick: Fight Result – Rose Namajunas to Win @ +110 (Betway Sports)
