Toronto FC take on New England Revolution at BMO Field on Sunday evening in the MLS, with Toronto back in action a fortnight after starting the new season with a 3-1 win on the road at Philadelphia Union.
There’s still plenty of quality on the Toronto roster for Greg Vanney to select from in the likes of Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley, while Belgian central defender Laurent Ciman was certainly a top class addition at the back.
It’s been a somewhat less convincing start to the season for the Revolution, with just a point from two games to date. Having started with a 1-1 draw on the road at FC Dallas, last week saw Brad Friedel’s charges lose 2-0 on home turf to Columbus Crew.
Spanish midfielder Carles Gil and English defender Michael Mancienne are two of the more familiar names on the Revolution roster, but there’s little to suggest that Friedel has a squad at his disposal that can challenge for trophies.
Toronto FC vs New England Revolution Prediction
It’s still very early days in the season to have any great faith in MLS predictions at this stage, with teams still adapting to changes in their roster or coaching set-up and any tactical changes that may have been implemented. However, Toronto made the perfect start to the season, while Revolution’s struggles could be set to continue.
No MLS betting odds are currently available, but Toronto will be firm favourites to win this game and they have to be the tips to do so. In terms of a Correct Score bet, a 2-0 win for Toronto looks a distinct possibility, while Michael Bradley has to be a consideration as an Anytime Goalscorer bet.
