Both teams are trying to stay within reach of the NFC East lead, but both teams may have too many injury issues to have a real shot should Dallas stumble.
Washington will be starting Colt McCoy again after losing Alex Smith to a devastating injury a couple of weeks ago. He threw the ball well last week against Dallas but did have three interceptions. After a full week of practice with the first team, he should be better.
Philadelphia has expressed a desire to run more and believe they have found the guy that can get the job done in an undrafted rookie, Josh Adams. But Adams may find it tougher to run this week against a talented Washington front.
But the Eagles could have a bigger problem. Last week, they were forced to play without many of their top defensive backs. It remains to be seen who will play this week. An inexperienced secondary could be just what Colt McCoy needs.
- Spread: Eagles by 6.5
The Eagles are likely favored because Washington is starting a backup quarterback. But Colt McCoy is a decent QB. He has the talent to give the Eagles a game. But with the Eagles injury-depleted secondary, he could shine. Take the Redskins and the points.
- Over/Under: 44
With all the injuries both sides are dealing with, this game has a shot at getting blown wide open. Take the over.
- Money line: Redskins +220.00; Eagles -285.71
The Eagles may be defending Super Bowl champs, but they are not the same team this season. Losing Alex Smith hurts the Redskins, but Colt McCoy is good enough to pick the Eagles injury-depleted secondary apart.
Take the Redskins to win.
