The Canadian Challenge
No Canadian golfer has won the Canadian Open on home soil in 65 years and with a particularly strong field this year, the chances of that run being broken have clearly become even more difficult.
RBC Canadian Open Golf Betting Picks
In terms of our Canadian Open golf betting predictions it’s worth noting that, provided there are no adverse weather conditions, scoring is likely to be low on what is a relatively short parkland course on the Tour, in which only a few holes being subject to a serious water threat.
With length off the tee not likely to be a significant issue this week, it opens up the possibility for a player such as Brandt Snedeker. The American won this tournament in 2013 and has five top-eight finishes at the Canadian Open.
The RBC Candadian Open is the final event before the US Open and a fine field has assembled in search of a morale-boosting week with Brandt Snedeker one of those to have caught @SteveThePunter's eye— Betfair Exchange (@BetfairExchange) June 4, 2019
Snedeker also played this Hamilton golf course in 2012 when, although finishing only 34th, he did manage a couple of low rounds of 67 in round two and 66 in round four.
He’s also in decent form, with his last two starts at the USPGA Championship and the Charles Schwab Challenge both ending with top-20 finishes after poor opening rounds. Importantly, he’s also putted well on both occasions. On that basis, he is the each way Canadian Golf 2019 pick at +4100 at Sports Interaction.
Canadian Open Golf Pick: Brandt Snedeker e/w (1/4 odds for 1,2,3,4,5 places) @ +4100 (Sports Interaction)
