Series Update – The Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 110-106 on Sunday night to give them a clean sweep and claim its first 4-0 series victory in eight years.

The Celtics closed out the series with their seventh straight win against Indiana this season and now face a potential matchup looming against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

Game 4 Update – Boston Celtics came away with a 104-96 victory at the Indiana Pacers on Friday night and took a 3-0 series lead.

It was Boston’s sixth straight win over Indiana since January. Last year’s Eastern Conference runner-ups will be headed to the conference semifinals if they can stretch that run to seven wins on Sunday.

Jaylen Brown scored 23 points for the Celtics, while Tyreke Evans matched his playoff career high with 19 points for the Pacers.

Once again in this series, a dominant second-half defensive performance helped swing the game for the Celtics, limiting the Pacers to a 12-point third quarter on this occasion.

Game 4 is on Sunday at Indianapolis.

Game 3 Update – Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 99-91 on Wednesday night to move into a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference 1st Round best-of-seven series.

The Celtics rallied late in the fourth quarter, with Indiana leading 79-68 going into it.  Boston had a 16-0 run, during which Indiana missed 10 straight shots, before finally breaking a nearly eight-minute scoring drought.

Kyrie Irving scored 37 points for Boston, while Bojan Bogdanovic led Indiana with 23 points.

Al Horford was a game-time decision with an illness, but was able to remain in the Celtics’ starting lineup.  The series shifts to Indianapolis for Game 3 on Friday.

Game 2 Update The Boston Celtics rallied in the 2nd half to beat the Indiana Pacers 84-74 in a physical opening game of the series in the Eastern Conference 1st Round playoffs.

The Pacers led by 11 points in the 1st half but scored just eight points in the 3rd quarter. The Celtic s led by 22 points at one stage in the 4th quarter, although both teams shot under 40% for the game. 

Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris led the way with 20 points each for the Celtics, while Corey Joseph scored 14 points for the Pacers.

The Celtics went with Jaylen Brown in the starting lineup, with Marcus Smart out with a torn left oblique.
