Orlando City take on Montreal Impact at the Orlando City Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the MLS.
The Lions have started the season with a couple of draws, starting their campaign with a 2-2 draw at home against New York City, then securing a 1-1 draw on the road at Chicago Fire.
The marquee star for the Lions is unquestionably Nani, with the former Manchester United winger still capable of winning a game single handedly. Nani has had an immediate impact and is already the league leader in assists per 90 minutes through two weeks with 1.65 and sits second in total assists behind Minnesota’s Darwin Quintero (three).
Orlando also recently made what appears to be an astute acquisition in the transfer of Swedish international central defender Robin Jansson from AIK Stockholm.
The Impact started the season with a 2-1 win on the road at the San Jose Earthquakes, but then went down to a 2-1 loss at Houston Dynamo.
It’s a tough start to the season for the Impact, with this being their third consecutive MLS game on the road and with three more to come before they get to play in front of their own fans.
The key player for the Impact here is likely to be Ignacio “Nacho” Piatti, with the veteran Argentinean having scored eight goals against the Lions in his career, including six in the past two seasons.
Orlando City vs Montreal Impact Predictions
It’s not easy making any MLS predictions this early in the season, but the Impact have a decent record against Orlando of late, winning four and drawing one of the last five games. No odds are currently available for this game, but a draw looks a decent bet at what are sure to be fairly attractive betting odds.
Elsewhere, Piatti looks a decent Anytime Goalscorer option and for a Correct Score bet, 1-1 looks reasonably attractive.
