Defending champion and top seed Novak Djokovic faces eight-time champion and second seed Roger Federer on Sunday afternoon in the Men’s Singles final at Wimbledon.
Novak Djokovic will be aiming for his fifth title at SW19 after reaching his sixth Wimbledon final with a hard-fought 6-2 4-6 6-3 6-2 win over Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in the first semi-final on Friday.
At the ripe old age of 37 (he’ll be 38 on 8th August), Roger Federer reached his 12th Wimbledon final (and his 31st Grand Slam final) with a 7-6 (7-3) 1-6 6-3 6-4 win over Rafael Nadal in the second semi-final, in a match that featured some brilliant tennis from both players. If he beats Djokovic, the Swiss legend will match Martina Navratilova’s success in women’s singles with a ninth Wimbledon title.
Novak Djokovic vs Roger Federer Betting Lines & Pick
There’s almost nothing to choose between the two in their long standing rivalry, with them having faced each other 47 times and Novak Djokovic leading 25-22 (9-6 in Grand Slams).
The 32 year-old Djokovic has been consistently excellent in Grand Slam tournaments over the past year, so it’s natural that he is favoured in tennis predictions for the final, even if Wimbledon has been almost a second home to Federer over the past decade and a half.
The tennis odds on a Djokovic win aren’t the most attractive, so the tip here is for the Set Betting and Djokovic to win 3-1 at +320 (4.20) with 888Sport.
