Winnipeg Jets vs Minnesota Wild
It’s Game Two of the Western Conference Round 1 playoff series between the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild at Bell MTS Place on Friday evening.
The Jets had a distinct advantage in the regular season, finishing 13 points better off than their Central Division rivals and winning three of the four games between the two teams. Where Wild will take some comfort is that they won the last game between the teams in the regular campaign, triumphing 4-1 at the Xcel Energy Center in January.
This young Jets team has secured just the second playoff series in the city since 1996 and there has to be a possibility that their lack of experience at this level could be a factor. However, that seems unlikely and with Wild missing key defenseman Ryan Suter for the season after undergoing surgery on a fractured ankle, this looks a game where the Jets prolific attack should prevail.
Pick: Winnipeg Jets
