Having initially fallen behind after just 3:21 of the first period, the Devils rallied through goals from Jack Hughes, P.K. Subban, Damon Severson, John Hayden, Travis Zajac, Blake Coleman and Pavel Zacha. Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.

The Maple Leafs secured a fifth straight victory with a crazy 8-6 win on home-ice against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night, in a game in which they led 3-0 within six minutes, but then trailed 5-3 and 6-4.
The game turned back in their favour on the back of a 59-second spell midway through the third period in which they scored three goals.
Mitch Marner scored twice for Toronto, with the other goals coming from Auston Matthews, Jason Spezza, William Nylander, John Tavares, Tyson Barrie and Pierre Engvall. Frederik Andersen made 34 saves.
The Maple Leafs are averaging 3.47 GPG, while allowing 3.16 (GA). Matthews has 24 goals and 43 points, while Marner has provided 25 assists. They are 10-10-0 on the road.
