The Montreal Canadiens (20-20-7) and Chicago Blackhawks (20-20-6) meet in NHL action at the Bell Centre on Wednesday night.
Having just broken an eight-game losing streak, Montreal won for a second straight game on Monday night, as they defeated the Calgary Flames 2-0 on home-ice.
The Canadiens goals were scored by Jordan Weal and rookie Ryan Poehling, while Carey Price saved 31 shots.
The Habs are averaging 3.04 Goals per Game (GPG), while they are allowing 3.13 (GA). Tomas Tatar leads the way in terms of goals, points and assists for Montreal, with 16, 39 and 23 respectively. They are 9-11-4 on home-ice.
Chicago won a second straight game on Tuesday night, with a 3-2 OT victory on the road at the Ottawa Senators.
Having trailed 2-0, a pair of goals from Dominik Kubalik tied the score for the Blackhawks, before Jonathan Toews scored 42 seconds into overtime. Robin Lehner stopped 20 shots.
The Blackhawks are averaging 2.87 GPG, while they are allowing 3.17 (GA). Patrick Kane leads the stats for Chicago with regards to goals, points and assists, with 24, 57 and 33 respectively. They are 9-9-3 on the road.
Montreal Canadiens vs Chicago Blackhawks Betting Lines & Tip
These teams have very similar records this season and the home-ice advantage hasn’t been a significant factor for the Habs this season, whereas the Blackhawks have a reasonable record on the road.
