The Montreal Canadiens (15-11-5) play the Carolina Hurricanes (13-12-4) at the Bell Centre on Thursday evening.
The Habs were on the receiving end of a 7-1 routing on the road at the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday evening, ending their three-game winning streak in the process.
The Habs average 3.06 Goals per Game, which puts them 14th in the overall NHL standings. Defensively they have allowed 3.26 Goals per Game, which places them 23rd overall. On an individual basis, Max Domi has 14 goals and 17 assists to lead the way for the Canadiens on both fronts.
Meanwhile, the Carolina Hurricanes went down to a 4-1 loss on home-ice to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night, for what was the fourth loss in five games.
The Hurricanes are only averaging 2.45 Goals per Game, which leaves them a lowly 29th in the overall NHL standings. Defensively the Hurricanes are allowing 2.76 Goals per Game, which leaves them tied 7th overall. On an individual basis, Micheal Ferland has 11 goals for the Hurricanes, while Sebastian Aho has contributed 20 assists so far.
Taking aside the heavy loss to the Wild on Tuesday night, the NHL bet predictions in this game have to favour the Canadiens based on recent form and their home-ice advantage (although the Habs don’t have a particularly impressive record at the Bell Centre this season to date). On that basis, the Habs have to be our pick on the Money Line odds to secure the points in this game.
