Minnesota Wild (14-8-2) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (17-8-0) meet at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday evening.
The Wild were on the road at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday evening, with their last result prior to that being a desperately disappointing 4-3 loss on home-ice to the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday evening. Not too many tipsters predictions would have backed the struggling Coyotes and the result was all the worse for the Wild in that they led 3-1 at the end of the 2nd Period.
The Wild are currently averaging 3.25 Goals per Game to leave them 12th in the overall NHL standings. They are allowing 2.75 Goals per Game, which leaves them tied 6th overall. On an individual basis, Zach Parise has 11 goals for the Wild, while Mikko Koivu has weighed in with 16 assists.
Prior to this game, the Maple Leafs were in action on Wednesday evening on home-ice against the San Jose Sharks. Their game previous to that was a 4-2 win against the Boston Bruins at the Scotiabank Arena on Monday evening.
The Maple Leafs are averaging 3.52 Goals per Game, which leaves them 4th in the overall standings. Defensively they also have impressive NHL stats, having allowed just 2.56 Goals per Game to leave them 3rd overall. John Tavares has 15 goals for the Maple Leafs, with Mitch Marner having contributed an impressive 27 assists.
The Maple Leafs have been impressive on the road this season and look to be the better team overall, so the tips on the Money Line odds are the Maple Leafs in this game.
