The Los Angeles Kings (11-20-3) meet the Winnipeg Jets (22-9-2) on Tuesday evening at Staples Center.
The Kings currently sit at the foot of the NHL overall standings and have lost their last four games (all on the road) prior to hosting the Jets. Their last result was a 4-3 OT loss at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday evening, although they twice fought back from a two-goal deficit to level.
The Kings are only averaging a miserable 2.18 Goals per Game, which unsurprisingly leaves them at the bottom of the pile in 31st position in the overall NHL rankings. Defensively they have been more reasonable, allowing 3.12 Goals per Game to leave them 19th overall. Dustin Brown has scored nine goals for the Knights, while Drew Doughty has 16 assists to his name.
In stark contrast to the Knights, the Winnipeg Jets have won their last five games and nine of their last 10. On Sunday evening they had an excellent 5-4 OT win over the formidable Tampa Bay Lightning, battling back from a goal down on three occasions to do so.
The Jets are averaging 3.64 Goals per Game, leaving them 4th in the overall NHL standings. Defensively they are allowing 2.82 Goals per Game, which leaves them tied 6th overall. On an individual basis, Patrik Laine has contributed 23 goals, while Blake Wheeler has registered 39 assists.
The majority of NHL predictions in this game will clearly be for the Jets and current form and the quality in their roster makes them the clear tips on the Money Line odds to win here.
