Josh Emmett (14-2-0) fights Mirsad Bektic (13-1-0) in a Featherweight bout on UFC Fight Night 155 on Saturday 13 July, 2019 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Emmett, a 34 year-old American comes into this fight on the back of Round 3 KO win as the slight underdog over Michael “The Menace” Johnson at the end of March.

Josh Emmett is an athletic fighter who is regarded as one of the best punchers in the Featherweight division. In truth he doesn’t have a great deal of variety to his fighting and there is a belief that some of his opponents have started to figure this out.

Recommended Odds

The 28 year-old Mirsad Bektic from Bosnia and Herzegovina hasn’t fought for just over a year, with his last bout ending in a Split Decision win over the American Ricardo Lamas in June 2018. A scheduled fight against the Brazilian Renato Moicano in December was cancelled.

The Bosnian also only fought once in 2016 and 2017, so his progress in the Featherweight division hasn’t exactly been helped by his long periods of inactivity.

Josh Emmett vs Mirsad Bektic Betting Lines & Pick

In terms of UFC bet predictions for this fight, Josh Emmett’s speed on the front foot and explosive punching power always gives him a chance and with Bektic not really being a great counter puncher, Emmett could impose himself in this bout. On that basis, and despite the Bosnian going into the octagon as the slight favourite, Emmett is the tip to win this fight.
