It’s Game 6 of the best-of-seven World Series on Tuesday evening, as the Houston Astros hosts the Washington Nationals at Minute Maid Park.

There’s been a major swing in the series since the last game played in Houston, at which stage the Nationals had a 2-0 lead as the teams headed for Washington D.C. However, the Astros return home having won all three games in the capital and now lead 3-2 in games and stand just one win away from winning the World Series.

The Astros confirmed their change in fortunes when comprehensively winning 7-1 in the potentially pivotal Game 5 on Sunday night, with Gerrit Cole giving up only one run and three hits in seven innings.

Houston received a major boost before the game, when Max Scherzer was scratched by the Nats due to spasms in his neck and upper right trapezius, so leaving Joe Ross to pitch for Washington.

In terms of World Series betting predictions for Game 6, the momentum is now firmly behind the Astros and it’s difficult to see the Nationals rallying from here. They could point to the fact that all five games in the series to date have been won by the visiting team, but the Astros don’t look likely to let this opportunity go to waste.

Houston are warm favourites on the Money Line at -175 (1.57) with bet365, with Washington at +155 (2.55) also with bet365. The betting tip is on the Run Line though, where the Astros -1.5 looks good at odds of +120 (2.20) with Betway Sports.
