Along with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Ticats and the Stampeders are seen as the current leading contenders for the CFL Grey Cup this season.
The Ticats are 3-1 for the season as it stands. Jeremiah Masoli has completed 70.1 percent of his passes for 1,325 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions and has at least one touchdown pass in 16 of his last 18 games.
Brandon Banks and Bralon Addison have combined for 664 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Jaelon Acklin has made 14 receptions.
The Stampeders have won two of their opening three games of the season. Bo Levi Mitchell has completed 63 percent of his passes for 527 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Mitchell and Nick Arbuckle have combined for 882 passing yards and six touchdowns, while Markeith Ambles and Reggie Begelton have combined for 359 receiving yards and one touchdown. Eric Rogers has 16 receptions.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Calgary Stampeders Betting Lines & Pick
In terms of CFL predictions, the big factor to take into account for this game is that the Ticats have lost 14 straight regular season games against the Stampeders, plus the 2014 Grey Cup. The Ticats last win in this matchup came way back on September 25, 2011. None of the current Ticats were on the team the last time Hamilton beat Calgary.
Of course all such streaks eventually come to an end and this might just be the game in which they do so, particularly with quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell (who played in 12 of those wins for Calgary) now placed on a six-game injury with a pectoral muscle injury for the Stampeders. We’ll take the Ticats as the tips here as a result.
