Argentina’s Guido Pella meets Canada’s Milos Raonic in the 4th Round of the Men’s singles at Wimbledon in south London on Monday afternoon.
The 29 year-old Pella pulled off a surprise win against last year’s Wimbledon runner-up, Kevin Anderson in straight sets in the last round.
Pella has only ever defeated four players from the top 10 in the world rankings in his career, but he did likewise when beating Marin Cilic at Wimbledon last year. The Croatian had himself been the tournament runner-up a year prior to that, so Pella certainly can’t be taken lightly.
With so many potential challengers to the “Big 3” of men’s tennis – Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal – having already been eliminated from this year’s tournament, Raonic is now seen by many observers as the main threat to the established order at this year’s Wimbledon.
Guido Pella vs Milos Raonic Betting Lines & Prediction
Any tennis predictions here certainly have to favour Milos Raonic against Guido Pella and he has to be tip to reach the last eight given his grass court pedigree, the fact that he is yet to drop a set at this year’s tournament he has was a finalist in 2016 and has also been a semi-finalist and a quarter-finalist twice at Wimbledon.
In his win over the giant, big-serving American Reilly Opelka in the last round, Raonic won 93 percent of his first serve points. It’s difficult to envisage Pella being able to cope with that if Raonic maintains that standard.
If the Raonic serve remains consistently strong, the market to bet on here looks to be Set Betting. Another 3-0 straight sets for the Canadian is +110 (2.10) with Betway, which looks a distinct possibility.
