The PGA Championship 2019 takes place at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. this week.
Brooks Koepka (+1000 at Betway to win the PGA Championship 2019) won the PGA Championship last year at Bellerive Country Club in the St. Louis after holding off a late charge from Tiger Woods (+1200 at bet365) and the challenging Bethpage course should prove very much to the liking of long-hitters such as Koepka and World No. 1 Dustin Johnson (+1100 at bet365).
Three-time major champion, the 2018 Player of the Year and defending PGA Champion, Brooks Koepka came so close to clinching victory at the Masters in Augusta last month. He’s also been hugely consistent at the PGA Championship, scoring a combined 47-under in his last five appearances.
Other leading contenders
For his part, Dustin Johnson has finished in the top-10 at five of the last six tournaments he has entered, winning the WGC-Mexico and sharing second place with Koepka at the Masters.
Tiger Woods will naturally be full of confidence too, after earning his fifth green jacket and 15th major last month at the Masters. Woods also has a previous major victory at Bethpage Black, having won the 2002 US Open there.
PGA Championship Betting Lines & Picks
Another long-hitter who needs to be taken into consideration is Jon Rahm (+2000 at Sportingbet), having won at the Zurich Classic in his only appearance since the Masters last month.
Bryson DeChambeau (+4000 at bet365*) is also a definite each-way contender, with the 25 year-old having the right combination of distance and accuracy to suit the formidable Bethpage Black golf course.
With regards to an overall PGA golf betting prediction, Brooks Koepka looks to be the man with the form and pedigree required to win under testing conditions and is the tip to do so with his PGA golf betting line set at a top price +1100 over at the Unibet Sportsbook.
