Spread: Seahawks by 1.5
Money Line: Cowboys +100.00; Seahawks -120.48
The Seahawks may be playing the perfect team for them to avoid a 0-3 start to the season. The Dallas Cowboys are not a good offense this year, or at least they haven’t played like one. Their ‘we don’t need a No. 1 receiver’ plan doesn’t appear to be going to well so far.
While the offensive line is still good, it is far from the great one that helped Ezekiel Elliot and Dak Prescott get their careers off to a great start. Elliot is still a runner to be reckoned with, but he has yet to go for over 100 yards this season. Prescott hasn’t come close to passing for 200 yards and hasn’t since Week 15 last season.
If the Seahawks defense can harass Prescott and keep Elliot from getting on track, they may be able to win this one. However, they would need to get some help from their offense, and it’s hard to say they will.
Seattle’s run game and offensive line are weak once again; they are averaging six sacks a game so far. Russell Wilson hasn’t been getting as much help from his skill position guys either. He is still capable of pulling off some magic, but it’s harder to come by with the lack of tools the Seahawks have on offense.
The Seahawks defense is still good enough to not make it easy for Dallas. But they aren’t good enough to stop Dallas anymore. Look for the game to have a slow start but then for Elliot to break it wide open in the second half.
Take Dallas to win by a touchdown. It will be a low scoring game, so go with the under.
