The Colorado Avalanche (18-10-6) meet the Montreal Canadiens (17-12-5) on Wednesday evening at the Pepsi Center.
The Avalanche come into the game on the back of four losses in their last five games (including OT), with their last result being a 4-1 loss on home-ice to the New York Islanders on Monday evening.
The Avalanche are currently averaging 3.59 Goals per Game, which leaves them tied 4th overall in the NHL standings. Defensively they are allowing 3.09 Goals per Game, which puts them down in 17th position overall. On an individual player basis, Gabriel Landeskog has 22 goals to his name, while Mikko Rantanen has registered 41 assists.
The Habs have been in decent form of late, winning five of their last seven games, although they did lose on home-ice last time out when the Boston Bruins ran out 4-0 winners at the Bell Centre on Monday evening.
The Canadiens are averaging 3.12 Goals per Game, which puts them in tied 13th position in the NHL stats overall. Defensively they are allowing 3.26 Goals per Game, which leaves them down in tied 24th place in the standings. Max Domi continues to be the main player for both goals and assists for the Canadiens, with 14 and 19 respectively.
Current form would make the Canadiens our betting predictions to win this game, but home-ice advantage and the Habs recent loss at home to the Bruins suggests it might be more prudent to have the Avalanche as the tips in this game on the Money Line odds.
