The Calgary Stampeders (12-6) meet the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (11-7) at the McMahon Stadium in the Grey Cup Western semi-final on Sunday afternoon, with the Saskatchewan Roughriders awaiting the winners in the Western final.
Sunday will be the third time in four weeks between these teams have faced each other, with the Stamps getting home 37-33 in Week 19 and the Bombers edging it 29-28 in Week 20 (see video below).
Calgary have appeared in five of the last seven Grey Cup Championships. This is a rare appearance in a Western semi-final for them in recent times, having qualified directly to host the final in the last three years.
Although Calgary will be expected to emerge victorious from this game in most tipsters CFL betting predictions, it’s worth remembering that Winnipeg won two of three meetings between the team this season (the Bombers also beat the Stamps 26-24 in Week 9).
Calgary Stampeders vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers Betting Lines & Predictions
In their quarterback Zach Collaros, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have a player who has won in his last three starts against the Stamps. The Bombers also have the 2019 rushing leader in Andrew Harris, who has nearly 2,000 yards from scrimmage this season.
However, the Calgary Stampeders have the reigning MOP (Most Outstanding Player) on their team in QB Bo Levi Mitchell, and he’s certainly given Winnipeg problems in 2019 with an average of 344 yards per game.
There’s been very little between these two teams in all three games this season and there would seem little reason to believe this one will be any different.
