Captain Jack Eichel scored his career-best 29th goal of the season for Buffalo, with their other goal coming from Sam Reinhart. Linus Ullmark stopped 17 of 20 shots, but then was replaced after left skate slipped out from under him, and he fell back injuring his right leg. Carter Hutton took over and finished with eight saves.
