Argentina will play Serbia in the quarterfinals of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup at the Dongfeng Nissan Cultural and Sports Center on Tuesday afternoon (local time).

El Alma Argentina has won all five games at the finals to date, with their last win coming with a comprehensive 91-65 victory against Poland on Sunday night. Former NBA player Luis Scola led the attack for Argentina with 21 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Serbia won their first four games, but lost 81-69 to Spain on Sunday night. This was the first loss for Serbia’s since February, when they lost in the European quarter finals.

The Serbs are seen by many as the biggest threat to Team USA, with players of the quality of Nikola Jokić (who played less than 17 minutes against Spain before he was ejected for arguing with an official in the third quarter) and the Sacramento Kings duo Bogdan Bogdanović and Nemanja Bjelica on the roster.

Argentina vs Serbia Betting Lines & Prediction

Despite the loss to the Spanish, Serbia are the overwhelming bookmakers favourites both with regards to pre-game predictions and the betting markets.

On the Moneyline betting lines, Serbia’s odds are set at a prohibitive -1000 (1.10) with Sports Interaction, with Argentina available at +650 (7.50) with bet365.

They’re not great odds for favourite backers, so the Point Spread is the market to look to, where Serbia -12.5pts are -104 (1.96) with Sports Interaction, with Argentina +12.5pts on offer at best odds of -111 (1.90) with Betway Sports. Serbia look good enough to cover the spread, so they are the tips here.
